Hi all,

Just wondering if someone can help with a small question.

I'm doing an overhaul of my music screen, but can't get some information to show. I'm using Big Icon view with albums sorted by album artist. When I hover over a folder the information I want to show is Artist, Albums (a fadelabel with all the album names within that folder) and Genre (again, a fadelabel with the genres of the selected folder/artist).

I can get the artist part to work, but not the Albums or Genres. I'm using the lines <label>#selected.artist.albums</label> and <label>#genre</label> but they're not working. Here's a screenshot of what I mean:

Any help is much appreciated.

Currently, it's just #selecteditem which seems to work for the artist when I hover over the folder. I've tried all sorts but just can't figure it out!

Here's the file I'm working on (sorry it's a bit messy at the moment, not finished with it yet).

Cheers

Sorry, I'm not too sure what you mean. When I click on the artist I then get the albums and then from there I get the tracks. This all works ok.

I tried the #selected.albumartist tag to show the album information on the main screen but it doesn't work (same with Genres).

Cheers

i want a tag telling me the artist for the tracks i am viewing

    ie

    Code:
    artist (1)
     - album (2)
         - tracks (3)

while in tracks view i want a #tag that gives the artist from level 1 while i am browsing level 3
alternatively substituting albumarist with artist above would be even better.
