Help with skin (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I will apologise now for being a complete noob at this... however I still use the old myPodCast plugin (last updated in MP 0.2.3) to download mp3 podcasts from the BBC and would like to alter the skin file so that they appear on a layout like everything else.

I have spent several hours playing around and have got a working solution; however, I would like to move the Change view, Add Podcasts and Delete buttons onto a slide out menu as used in the mypics plugin. To this end i have copied the xml code from the mypics.xml file and modified the label and removed a couple of buttons not utilised.

The problem - Using this xml code to use a slide out menu it appears visible when the podcasts page is opened and the podcasts no longer appear. If anyone with some experience would be able to look at this and tell me where the problem is it would be greatly appreciated.

I have attached the original skin file as well below if this helps.

My present 'working' podcasts xml

I thought the above post may have been a little too long, I've dropped the code into an xml file!

I attach my "working" version and if anyone could maybe suggest some improvements it would be really nice! At the moment I've abandoned the slide out menu and just repositioned the old one top right. one problem I have is getting the description to revert to blank once the podcast is out of focus, it does this OK by navigating away using up down keys to go up a level but not when using the previous menu button (on remote, key shortcut) see screenshot.

It doesn't work for video podcasts, I don't know why; probably more to do with plugin?

Any help, comments appreciated!

I can only reply that the video is not working for me as well.

'Can't play video' is the meaningful message. But I have no clue, what the problem could be.

Video does work with the Online Videos Plugin, If this helps!
