The question:
If I installed a pair of USB speakers on my PC, would it affect the sound output coming out of my PC sound card ?
Reason:
The sound port out of my sound card feeds my TV. But sometimes, when I have my TV switched off, I would still like to have sound coming thru the USB speakers (without any UI action).

BTW, after my massive search-and-read effort in the forums, I almost have
my HTPC configured to my requirements :0)... thanks for all the lively
