Hmmm... not sure why you had to do that to get the sheduled recordings to work, but my best guess is that you lost connection to your DHCP server when your router was turned off, which created some problems in MP server. (Only guessing)
I would think that you prob. would solve the problem by setting a Fixed IP address on your server. (Check what IP the server have got now, by opening a command prompt, and type ipconfig, and use the IP the server currently have)
