This was noticeable as the fans kicked in.</p><p></p><p>After a little investigation using perfmon remotely onto my htpc I realised that mediaportal used more CPU than I would have expected and periodically it would rise to 100% and most is down to MP running privileged code. A specific case of this is when playing a simple mp3 file. The privileged usage hits 60% </p><p></p><p>When I play the same file using VLC I hardly see any change in CPU usage. I also have mediaportal installed on another machine and this does NOT have the same problem. </p><p></p><p>Any ideas?</p></blockquote><p></p>
