I followed your first advice, my MP server is now on 24/7 and EventGhost rocks.

I've now updated the guide for eventTrigger since the TellStick Pause plugin isn't compatible with the latest version of MediaPortal any more.

I can also upload a more advanced EventGhost configuration if there's some interest. It should disable incoming phone call triggers if there's no video playing or if it's on pause. It could also handle this scenario:
1. A phone call is received and the video is paused.
2. Your friend is tired of waiting for you to finish talking and starts the video by remote.
3. When you hang up you wouldn't want to video to pause again.

Sure it might not happen regularly but you never know...

I made a plugin for the Home Control Box. It works great, but I did not release it because not many people use it (maybe I'm the only user with MP).

Though, I want to share some screen.

The Home Control Box has a web interface, where the plugin gets the information from.

You may ask yourself why we/I have so much devices.. Well, my father is the electronic designer of a lot of modules and devices.

I've added more devices that can be used to turn your lights on and off or move curtains up and down. RFXCOM and KlikAanKlikUit.

Just for info - Z-Wave costs a LOT to develop in.

For my automation I use HomeSeer this includes X-10, Z-Wave, LightwaveRF and IR as well as room client MediaPortal control (using my Automation/Automator plugins ).

I'd like to be able to use something like the open source around - trouble is most, if not all, isn't really up to scratch.
