Any loose schedule?

Nothing specific, more like "within February", "in the next three months" or something.

You see I will not run 0.2.2 (or any future version) before we have a proper home menu setup. I would even accept the old method, because NO method is definitely worse (and I really don't get the team's decision on this).

I remember one of the devs said a while ago that the old plugin was done by someone no longer around and the source was somehow lost.
A recent change must have broken the old plugin and without the source then it's a matter of rebuilding from scratch.

Solution;
# I have used old C# files in the project as in
0.2.1.0
# I have uncommented the WINDOW_TOPBARHOME line
in GUIWindows.cs
# I have uncommented the missing Get method in
Config.cs
# I have added GUITopbarHome.cs to GUITopbar
again for removing errors in Home.cs.
# Also, in SetupForm.cs I have defined absolute
path of images because Configuration utility was
not able to find images for Home plugin. And it
was generating expection.

Looks like I asked the same thing, infinityloop said they are [thread=15999]working on the configurability[/thread] of the new menu.

Thanks man, any info on real editing of the home menu?

In (ok my) checklist, I see those as a need:

- Ability to sort menu items the way I like (CHECK)
- Ability to add and remove the menu items as I want, as was in old Home (possible already?)
- Ability to have the submenus I create, as was in old Home (possible already?)
--- (more distant ideas)
- Ability to call external programs with different parameters (like multishortcut plugin but from Home directly) (?)
--- (even more distant)
- Ability to call multiple times each plugin (like TV or Radio or Videos or Music) with DIFFERENT parameters (this probably needs changes in the whole MP foundation)
- Ability to change menu format based on I don't know what (maybe the outcome of a function, the output of some program, I don't know)

...so what is in your agenda Bavarian?
