When going to Mediaportal Configuration--Plugins--Home Plugin--Configuration and switch to the "menu setup" tab, I can change the order of the items. But this function is completely messed up. Some items (TV, Radio) appear twice, and when I hit the up or down button for a selected item, a various other item moves its position too.

btw, this bug is still there. Not too important issue, but shouldn't it be easy to fix?

It seems 1.1.0.0 final still has the double entries in the Home Menu Setup.

Instead I just edit the rank of the items in the MediaPortal.xml file. Locate the section pluginSorting .

    Example pasted from my MediaPortal.xml:

    Code:

0

1

2

5

6

8

11

9

15

16

13

3

18

19

This configuration gives a Home screen menu that looks like this:
(Assuming My TV was most recent item selected.)
(Items in grey are accessed using up/down arrows.)

    My Plugins
    My Weather
    My Radio
    My TV
    Play Disc
    My Pictures
    My Music
    My Videos
    Settings

    Notes:
    > You can have gaps in the rankings if you want. This makes it easy to move an item in the list. Say I want to move Videos just above Play Disc; I just change its number to 7, and no other edits are needed.
    > I use For The Record, so the native Radio and TV entries are inconsequential.
    > Topbar is not in the menu per se, but needs a number assigned.
