How can I search IMDB for movie name instead of file name? (1 Viewer)

Have you got some examples of the fiel names and the movie names?

The other option would be to look at a plug-in like MyFilms or MyDVD.

each one of my movies are ripped into a folder and the folder is the name of the movie. Inside the folder contains VIDEO_TS files and so on.

When I open MP and hit F3 to search IMDB it always searches for "Video_TS" so i then have to do a manual search and type in the movie that i want to grab info for.

Your setup sounds identical to mine except that when I select and movie and press F3 it searches IMDB for the title of the movie based on the name of the movie folder NOT VIDEO_TS.

That's really strange. Do you know of anyway I can get mine to search like yours?

Can you confirm your file structure is it:-

\Movie Folder\VIDEO_TS\Video_TS.ifo

ie 2 levels of folders before you get to the actual video files ?

Mine is only one level

\Movie Folder\Video_TS.ifo

Add in the extra folder level \VIDEO_TS and it should work.
