Hi there,

I've just upgraded my MP install to v 1.00.00 RC1 with TV Server.

It's all working fine... except for the EPG, which seems to have some data for the Australian channels but not all. On my old install, I used to get the EPG information from ICE TV an australian company who provide the EPG content via paid subscription. I had a scheduled pull to an TVGuide.xml file that lived in the MediaPortal directory.

I get the feeling this file is getting ignored now... and the EPG is pulling down info from some other free source... which is why not all the channel data is getting populated past a few days.

Can anyone tell exactly what the story is with the new version of MP? ... and how I configure it to use the ICE TV data again?

cheers, froowstie

Do a search for the file "TVGuide.xml" as I think you will find that it is located in a different folder now.

The EPG data that you are seeing is probably what has been grabbed from the channel itself - do you have EPG grabbing enabled?

No... it's definitely getting the wrong EPG data. All the channels initially show information, but ABC and SBS only have about 3 days worth of information which suiggests to me it's not getting them from ICE TV which normally shows the weeks worth of programming.

I've checked and the TVGUIDE.XML file is getting created in the following folders:

    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server
    C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\XMLTV

Deselecting the Grab EPG for channels option in the MediaPortal TV Server Configuration doesn't appear to change anything.... can anyone confirm where this xml file is supposed to live?

    Cheers, James.

Make sure the xmltv.dtd is in the folder, may need moving from the program files path.
