I have the ATSC portion of both my cards working, I can tune, schedule recording, etc. I have been trying to get a/v capture working with either of these (or my AIW) and have been unsuccessful. Am I missing a check-box somewhere? I've tried activating the NTSC tuner in each thinking the capture was a function of the analog portion (like it is under ATi MMC 9.06.1's TV application) and can tune and record NTSC now. I found where you can assign CVBS and SVHS on the capture card window, and creating a svhs 'channel' on the TV channel tab. I can tune that 'channel' from inside the My-TV screen but do not get any a/v capture. One more thing, I do NOT see the tab in Config for video ENCODERS yet I am getting analog NTSC video via the tuner.

Is it my drivers, or am I missing something? I'd like to be able to stop using MMC but until I can do a/v capture with some other program I'm stuck with keeping it working.

    Hi,

I do not have either of the cards you do but one thing I forgot to do once
was assign that new svhs channel to the card that has the input.

Yes, I've done that as well -- it's just like assigning a TV channel to the card that receives it. What I DO get is a black screen and no sound when I select the CVB#1 'channel'

I wonder if it's my drivers, or a software issue.

UPDATE: I got it working... the definitions file in MP for the 1600's NTSC (analog) has an erronious line of code for the encoder pin... I'll make a link to the thread where the guy DISCOVERED this. Seeing as the analog capture is based on the NTSC (analog) portion of the 1600 it makes sense.

IF YOUR 1600 does NOT tune NTSC this is your key!

    Here it is: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showpost.php?p=137997&postcount=20

SIX MONTHS ago this poster discovered the erroneous line of code in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file, edited his personal copy and posted it for all to use!

My HVR-1600 now does NTSC and A/V capture as it should! I don't know what it takes to get the master file corrected but we surely need to let someone know for 0.2.3.0 RC3.

ATSC works fine on both cards! It's getting NTSC and A/V Capture that has me stuck.

OK... so I found how to get the Hauppauge HVR-1600 to do NTSC and A/V Capture. I'm still not there on either of my ATi products. I get video with my AIW 9600XT but broken audio on NTSC. In the HDTV-Wonder I get audio with no video. I'm guessing the 'fix' is in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file (as it was for the Hauppauge) but I haven't found the error as yet.
