I can't get MP to display good quality TV. I tried various settings in the MP Setup program but TV is still "shaky" and unsharp. The edges of the screen are not sharp and the picture seems to flicker.

I'm using the Intervideo Video Decoder, FDDshow Post Processing and High Quality Recording turned on.

My setup:
AMD Sempron 3100+
1 GB RAM
Hauppage 500 MCE Driver 2.0.35.23348 (14-12-2005)
Asus K8V-SE

    try:

    ffdshow off
    WinDVD7?
interlace to off -> configure it in WinDVD
    exclusive direct-x enabled
    vsync always on
get a signal amplifier for your cable / antenna

what TV, how is it hooked up?

    Still not good....

    Thanks for your reply. This is what I did;
    - turned fddshow off
    - installed WinDVD 7 (was 6)
    - could't find te option to turn interlace off
    - exclusive direct-x was already enabled
    - vsync is turned on
    - signal is clear when connected directly to TV
    - Standard Sony TV hooked up through S-Video

All in all above changed didn't fix the problem. Any other sugstions? Thanks in advance.

I just noticed that while my TV showed a clear picture the PVR 500 needed a signal amp therefore I suggested this point..

Could you please make a little screenshot / sample movie?

This looks very much like Mpeg2Dec codec with low reception..

Could you borrow some amplifier just to test if this is the reason?
If you don't use current CVS you'll be able to launch the tuner properties - could you please check if everything is okay there?

Also google for graphedit to get sure that intervideo and _only_ this decoder is used..
