how do you collect your series automatically ? (1 Viewer)

at the moment i get them and sort (folder structure) manually :-(
renaming program of my choice at the moment is mediarenamer from the forum, also manually (but with just some clicks, no typing).
to watch like the most i use my tv-series

and i wanted to know how MP-user do it, and find the best solution!
so please tell me and the rest of the foum how YOU do it.

i'm using series renamer to rename the episodes and before that i manually move them to the right folder. The rest is done my TvSeries ...

I'm working on a fully automated system atm, but it's not quite there yet, but here is what I have.

- My Tracker is TVtorrents.com and they have a function where you can add your favourite shows to an RSS-feed.
- This RSS-feed is fed to Utorrent on my download server
- Utorrent filters the feed the way I want it (720p for the shows that have that, and no full seasons to prevent downloading duplicates)
- When the download is complete I manually move the files to a folder on my file server.
- Then I run Natburs tvrenamer which renames and moves the files to the correct folder

I could have it fully automated by having Utorrent move the file to the file server and then activate auto-rename on natburs TVrenamer, but I'm sort of scared that it will start renaming it before the moving is complete and then corrupt the file, but I'll have to do some testing on that.

At that point the only thing that is not autmated is stopping and removing the torrents from Utorrent, something that is not possible. But I have put maximum active torrents to 1 and maximum active downloads to 1 aswell, so when a torrent is done downloading it won't continue uploading and the file is no longer locked so it can be moved.

Yes, I've had some problems with Natburs aswell, but atm it's working so I'll continue using it for a while longer, I'm doing a complete reinstall of both my file server and download server in not too long so I might change to something else then. Another program that's been good is a good program is TVrenameu.com but it's a bit less automated and a bit more complex. But if nothing else it's good for checking your collection and se if you are missing any episodes.

Sickbeard + sabnzbd on the NAS takes care of grabbing the NZB, downloading and automatic folder sorting, so new eps show up in mptvseries without any user interaction.

I don't like theRenamer at all. For me it is not awesome but awful. The GUI isn't very intuitive. The result list where you can select movies for editing or inclusion scrolls automatically up and down when you leave the program window. What is that supposed to be for? The matches weren't as good too.

i think i did try them. but u are right, now they point to same software.

anyway, this one works quite good to me.

so far i am doing the rename per tvshow instead of my whole drive as i am a bit afraid of messing everything up. so far so good, but improvements could be done indeed.
