How is display resolution determined? (1 Viewer)

Hi Running vista 32. I am wondering with media portal, I couldnt find an option for TV setup for display resolution. Just wondering does it just use the desktop resolution set by windows as I think that might cause issues for me when I set resolution to 1920 x 1080 for windows the desktop is all stretched. However when I set that resolution in MCE its fine and proper scale.

I am wondering if media portal uses desktop resolution it might cause incorrect aspect ration problems?

Anyways if you could please let me know it might work

Yes, MediaPortal uses the desktop resolution. However, you can change the aspect ratio in one of the setup screens when MP is running. I can't remember the exact location of the options as i'm not at home to check.

You can also deal with over scan and placement of OSD overlays.
