How many channels should I be able to record? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I have recently downgraded my version of MP back to the stable release (had too many issues with the 1.1.0 BETA release)

I am still quite new to MP, but I'm puzzled.....

I have two Satellite cards (Hauppauge Nova S2-HD) so in theory I should only be able to record two channels at once (or watch one and record one).

But when I go into the guide screen, I can set 4 channels to record, before it complains about a tuner conflict?

You can record all channel of one transponder with same polarity per satcard - if your hardware can do it. So minimum is 2, but might be many more, if they're on the same transponder.

I have been playing with this release, and getting (what I think is) strange behaviour??

I go into the TV guide, and set a programme to record - it eventually appears in active recordings.

I do the same again with a different channel (while first is still recording) - again after some time this second program appears in Active Recordings - both now show as being recorded in the TV guide (and I can see both on the HDD)

I now select a third channel from the guide, tell it to record. It goes red in the guide, but does not show in active recordings (and is not actually recording to the HDD).

So why does it go red in the guide - when infact its not recording?

I have the exact same problem. Last tuesday three recordings were pre-programmed to start at 21:00. One channel was dvb-t and the other two were analog. The dvb-t channel was red in the tv-guide, but it never showed up in the active recordings and the show was not recorded. The two analog shows recorded fine.
