How to automatically play inserted audio CD? (1 Viewer)

Hey there,

I am trying to build a HTPC and am curious if the following is possible with a feasible amount of work

1. I'd like to simply insert a CD into my HTPC and have it autoplay. I do not want to have to turn on the TV for the CD to start playing.
2. I'd like to have a display built into my HTPC (maybe iMon?) which then states the currently playing track.
3. With a remote - not my attached keyboard - I'd like to be able to skip through tracks.

What do you guys think? Does this sound doable? How would you do it and what can you recommend to me?

Is possible. If a CD is inserted MP askes if you would like to autoplay it. Just press OK and it will play some music.

I'd prefer not to turn on my TV if I just want to listen to an audio CD.
Is there a way to not have to press OK to have MediaPortal autoplay the CD?

This looks like a very powerful plugin. Maybe too powerful for what I want to do?
All I need is an output to a display like so: http://www.bergercity.de/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/imon-display.jpg
Would this still be possible with the mentioned plugin?
