How to balance audio (1 Viewer)

I have just put together my new HTPC based in intel i3 with Gigabyte MB. I am using onboard video and 5.1 audio. Performance is fine, but I am unable to get the audio balanced properly.
I have fox coming into my DigitalNow DNTV Dual Hybrid 7164 card via S-Video, the audio is stereo into the card. Watch digital TV using this card also.
The problem I have is that the audio from the STB is vary quiet, while the audio from the DVB-T is really loud, as is the audio from .AVI's etc.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to balance this up. I am using FFDShow with the mixer set to custom matrix to get stereo upscaled to 5.1, this makes sure all the speakers are working, I just need some way of "boosting" the audio input from the analog stream ?????

Fixed:
If anyone is interested I used profiles in ffdshow and set them to autoload based on the video file name. As the analog card uses a different .ts stream file to the DVB-T card I got the volumes for each setup correctly with the ffdshow profile and set it to auto load on the stream file name.
