which works perfectly fine from outside. i can connect to that website which loads WebMediaPortal perfectly. but when i try to input this address into aMPdroid, it fails to connect.

I don't think it's a good idea to post the address here.
Well actually, since it's not a valid ip address, it shouldn't matter.

Did a quick test here, and it's working fine. There must be a misconfiguration on your side.
You've forwarded external port 4322 to internal port 4322 or external 8080 to internal 4322?

the address given isn't the real address. i'll x it out to avoid confusion.

i've port forwarded 8080 to 8080, and 4322 to 4322. 8080 works perfectly through my phone browser, but aMPDroid is unable to connect to given address with port 4322.

But aMPDroid works in your local network right? Have you tried your current WAN ip instead of the dynamic dns host in aMPDroid? Also maybe your mobile provider is blocking some ports, so try some other!

yes...it works locally...works if I input the direct WAN IP address from outside as well.

if I use DNS address it doesn't seem to work. I have setup correct port forwarding also, unless I've missed something?
