How to get FFDshow working? (1 Viewer)

I searched the forum, but this did not answer the question.

I hd FFDshow running in the past. But after the fresh install it does not work.
I configured it to show OSD, but it does not...!

I use the Nvidia Purevideo Codec. might it have to do with that codec? As far as I remember I also tested with MVP codec..

The strange thing: I have set the checkmark in MP to do postprocessing... but it does not do!!

It is not very transparent or I am missing something?!

Could someone give me some hints what to check?

The problem could be with Purevideo. My knowledge of it is somewhat limited because I don't use it personally, but I DO know that it is impossible to use Purevideo's hardware acceleration with ffdshow. Maybe there's a setting to disable the hardware acceleration?

Another thought is to simply uninstall and reinstall ffdshow. I know I have had problems with MP failing to recognize the location of other programs unless things were installed in a particular order. As long as you make a note of your ffdshow settings, it might be worth a shot.

Ahh.. got it working,

It was the "configure raw" issue. Damn, this is hidden very good.
There should be a note inside MP..!!

BTW:
Is there a way of controlling ffdshow while inside MP (fullscreen)? I identified more than one preset I want to use with ffdshow. Basically depending on the material I watch..

So I would love to switch profiles in MP. Can this be done? Maybe a workaround to do it with an external app?

Perhaps an "audio/videophile" package would be in its place. Sort of MP preconfigured with FFDShow, Reclock, foobar2000 etc. In theory it all sounds nice, but I quickly loose patience setting those things up.

And once I got playback of mediafiles working, I am scared of ever touching my directshowsetup again ;-)

I think you would need to use the fddshow keyboard shortcuts to change profile. They "should" work in MP (I think).

I know what you mean,
have not got it working, MP crashes.. but I will find out.
I found out that ffdshow can also export these keyboard commands to Girder. That is nice !!
