Hi ,

When i play a 1080p or other hd material , i don''t get full screen on my full HD tv . Even with zoom function in MP no full screen, at the most an ugly stretched screen.

When i play dvd i get full screen!

I use SAF 6 for the codecs, which plays everthing till now ;-)

What am i doing wrong or do i have to change a certain setting ?.............if so can anyone assist me ?

Thx in advance!!

Can you give us a screenshot, as not sure what you mean by fullscreen (press F11 whilst playing video, picture saved in pictures\mediaportal, upload and attach to post using forum advanced +).

Remember most HD material has black bars top and bottom to keep aspect ratio, TV HD is different as usually 16:9

3 shots as requested. I know about the bars, BUT if the movie is hd en tv is hd , then i should have full screen without the bars right ? or am i so confused?

The way it is on the screenshot is right, else you have to zoom. If you don't want these bars you need to buy a 21:9 TV (from Philips). =)

Holzi is technically right, but with most films I use 14:9 zoom as default for 21:9 movies, this is all done automatically by the "Intelligent Frame Control" plugin, give it a try :)

    Also useful for 4:3 content.
