Since this wiki page says that
This section works exactly like the TV EPG Grabber.
    ,
I expected it to pull guide entries from the digital feed for all checked radio stations. However, the Radio Guide is empty. How can I fill it? Do I need to use something similar to XMLTV, even though I have DVB?

I would tick the top 2 main options, ie fill holes and always try to update existing entries, untick CRC check, restart the tvservice, hopefully you will now get radio populating, sadly this may take hours to appear.

Thanks for the tips, but it's still empty, even after waiting overnight. Any other ideas?

I do not know the names of any Swizz radio-stations, but if you look in the logs you posted (epg.log) does it contain names on any radio-stations?

    Hi rsbrux

There is no guarantee that EPG information is available for those channels, so yes you may need to use XMLTV.

My most recent EPG.log does have a few Swiss radio stations (e,g, DRS 1, 2 &3), but doesn't seem to get any data from them. Each of the entries ends with a section like this:
    Code:
    2011-10-29 13:57:42.139648 [(7)]: EpgCard: card: 2 timeout after 10.020703125 mins
    2011-10-29 13:57:42.143554 [(7)]: EpgGrabbing: Abort
    2011-10-29 13:57:42.220703 [(7)]: dvb:mhw ready MHW 0 titles found
    2011-10-29 13:57:42.222656 [(7)]: dvb:dvb ready.EPG 216 channels
    2011-10-29 13:57:44.144531 [(7)]: Epg: card:2 received epg for 216 channels
    2011-10-29 13:57:44.155273 [(7)]: EpgCard: Aborted epg grab

:D for the response. I was afraid of this. It took me a long time (and a lot of help from patient forum members) to get XMLTV working for my old analog TV setup, and at least there are a couple of sites with online TV guides in Switzerland. At that time I gave up setting it up for radio, because I couldn't find suitable data sources on the web for most of the stations. Any tips as to where to look would be most welcome!

    Hi again

I suggested XMLTV since I find it the easiest way to get the EPG populated. If you dislike it and you don't have a data source then you can think about other options. If I were you, I would check the radio station websites. If they have an EPG there then there is a possibility that a scraper already exists for WebEPG, else you could try to write a scraper yourself. If EPG is not available on the website then I would go straight to the source and email the station management to ask if they have any sort of EPG available. Then at least you would know for sure whether you would ever find anything. Here in NZ most radio stations simply do not provide EPG...

ziggo netherlands does not have EPG for radio stations , it does however for tv. this require to set EPG grabber from the tv-card and tick the stations which u want EPG for in DVB EPG tv grabber.(this is in tv server setup)
