Hello MP-community,

I have a rather tricky problem: I use a Windows Home Server which backups all the clients every night by waking them up from hibernation via WOL. Unfortunately the WHS does not put my HTPC back to hibernation when the backup is finished. This is a known issue and there is a workaround for this as a Windows Service which puts the PC back to hibernation when the backup is finished. As you can imagine, it is not really helpful for the WAF when this occurs while playing any media (i.e. sitting in front of the HTPC).
Fortunately this tool has also a "whitelist", i.e. a list of applications which prevent the tool to run if they are running. As I want to prevent the Service to put the HTPC to sleep when any media is played I wondered which tasks are running besides MediaPortal.exe (which is always running when the HTPC is on). I already looked for any LAV or Windows Media Player instances, but had no luck. So, does anyone know an application which runs "on top" of MediaPortal.exe when media is being played? Any codec, player, MP-process or anything alike? Or does someone has an idea how I can achieve a dummy-process which runs in the task manager only while playing some media, so that I can put this on the tool's prevent-list?

Thank you very much for any ideas.

There's not usually any process other than MediaPortal.exe.
