Hi there,

Ive been lokin' everywhere for this answer but can't find it.
I recently donwloaded a patch for Mediaportal from the "sourceforge.net" site but I don't know how to install this patch!!! :?:

The patch contains files to "select soundcard for music playback"

The filenames are:

Action.cs.patch
audioplayerVMR.cs.patch
g_player.cs.patch
IPlayer.cs.patch
MCE2005Remote.cs.patch
Mediaportal.cs.patch
music soundcard.patch

I am using the 0.2.0.0 RC2 version of Mediaportal

Thanks!

The patches are for the MediaPortal source code, which you must download, apply patch and then compile yourself if you want to use the patch. The better way, if this is too complicated for you, is to get a CVS update.

    Hi,

IF the patch actually made it into the CVS, of course. Which it - AFAIK - didn't. And, the patch files are dated from around end 2004 or so, so I doubt they'll apply cleanly to the current MP code.

AFAIK Music is played back by the default audio device you've configured in Windows. You can change the default audio device for Windows in Control Panel --> Sounds & Audio devices --> Audio tab.

EDIT: You can download CVS snapshots from here but AFAIK they won't contain the patch you mentioned earlier.

    Kind regards,
    Michel
