How to install mpe1 when it keeps saying "Wrong File Format!"? (1 Viewer)

I've been getting this msg for ages and got the shits today and did a COMPLETE FULL uninstall of ALL MP files database the lot, then did a CLEAN install of MP 4.0 and now i can't even put in any plugins at all, not in MPExtension program or via local after downloading.... WTF? whats the point of having plugins if we cant install them?

I can't even get it to download the list of plugins, HOW DO I FIX THIS PLEASE???

ALL GOOD:
The solution for me was to delete the files from %temp% folder, which in Win7 is Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp.
