How to make backdrops more visible? (Increase transparence) (1 Viewer)

I have recently started enjoying both Moving Pictures and My TV Series. I use the blue3wide skin. A forum search didn't help me.

One thing which is different between the two plugins is that the backdrop in Moving Pictures clearly emerges when selecting a movie, but in My TV series, the backdrop remains bluish and remote. Can I manually reduce the opacity in an xml file for backdrops in My TV Series somewhere? (I tried to look at the blue3wide skin files but I am not competent to identify the solution.)

Help would be much appreciated

Look into the respective xml and search for this tag: <colordiffuse>"value"</colordiffuse> and set the "value" to 90ffffff. You may experiment a bit to find out the solution you want by reducing the number 90 to anything between ff and 80.

Thank you for your fast reply. However, I am too stupid to know which xml file I should look into. I honestly don't know what the xml file should be called (although I guess it's in the skin/blue3wide folder).

Very interesting. And "the respective xml" would be...?

No... It doesn't work. Actually, "the respective.xml" has two <colordiffuse> tags. So the question remains which one you should change. I tried to change both and no effect whatsoever. Can anybody help ?

    Dear catavolt and/or Mr.Heckles,

I tried as well to change the tag values... no luck.

I cannot be so difficult a problem. Anybody who knows?
