I have big problems with the MPA/MPV/DScaler especially with the MPA Filter.
So my question ? Is there an option to not install these by the SVN ? Oder
is there a small tool to deinstall these parts.

Thanks,

Hugo

Yes use filmerit, but these get reinstalled with every svn update.

This is going to remain for the existing MP svn updates, before you ask for this function to be changed.

When MP2 is released this may change, as codecs will be much more selectable.

Thanks Paranoid Delusion, now it is working better.

Now i have only a problem by switching from HD with only AC3 to a SD without AC3. After that i have no sound on SPDIF. After switching to a SD with AC3 and back the sound works.

    Thanks,

When MP2 is released this may change, as codecs will be much more selectable.

I've seen some other threads that have debated moving away from using separate codecs with the MP internal player and moving to a monolithic approach such as that used in the XBMC/mplayer setup.

I'm sure either approach has pros and cons.

Has the monolithic approach been ruled out for MP2? I'd be interested in the core devs' thoughts on the appropriate architecture for MP2. I guess you must have debated this already.

That you do not get sound on SPDIF with Non AC3 channels is because these carry probably Mpeg audio stream. You need a codec like AC3filter or ffdshow to transcode the Mpeg stream into AC3, and then this AC3 coded stream can be relayed to your SPDIF again. I use ffdshow to accomplsih this.

See my forelast post in this message for a setup that works:
