How to organize tv series in movie DB (1 Viewer)

I hope I can get some info on this. How do I properly organise or create a view for dvd sets that have files that span multiple dvds. For instance, if you are watching the tv series "Family Guy", and we want to rip the dvds to the database, they should go into the database without trouble. Now when we open mediaportal and browse the movie database, each dvd of the tv series shows as a different movie. What I would like to do is only have instances called "Family Guy season 1", "Family Guy Season 2" and so on and within the database editor add each file for that season to the file list. This is possible but once I have all the iso's listed and browse my videos again in media portal, I can now select "Family Guy season 1" from the list and this will open a window showing multiple cds to choose from. The problem here is that I can't run any of them and get and error that the codec is wrong for both video and audio. But, if the dvds are listed separate they play just fine. I must be doing something wrong. How should I set this up to work? I have this problem with many different tv shows and it's making the video list a mess. Thanks!

Anyone? Has this not been done before?

I highly recommend checking out the TV Series plugin. That's exactly what it's designed for - managing TV Series, seasons, and episodes.

It makes a bit more work in ripping the DVDs (i.e. you'll want to rip it to 1 file per episode) but is MUCH nicer than the Videos section for managing.
