Rip your dvd and import them in the MyVideo section (in MP configuration tool). Place a folder.jpg in the folder and you will see your DVD in the my video contents. You can play them as others videos.

could you be even more specific, I started mp, went to the my videos, and searched for my library of dvds, it found them,
I saw the titles but I couldn't click on them. How do you load them into the program, be very specific if you will. I did go to the seperate configuration program, but I could not find a place to load my ripped dvd library. I know I'm overlooking very simple, but I clicked on
every thing I could and I could not find a place to load them into the program. Sorry for being so slow to learn, but I'm new to this/

Thanks,

Just add a library path to scan in my movie configuration and if you can look thumbnails you can click on and play. If you cannot play it may be a problem.
Did you set up DVD settings and codec in the configuration?

I can play a physical dvd inserted in the dvd rw

How do I add a path. Start with description like this: Start MP, go to my video, etc. , don't assume I
know anything ( I don't) . Like I said earlier, I can play a dvd I mounted in Daemon Tools, or a real dvd, but when
I go to my videos and look, it brings up the dvds, or I can even navigate to my ripped dvd library ( video_ts folders), I can see the name of my movies, it will even let me navigate to the vob file in the movie, but when I click on it goes up a level. I know from reading this forum, I have to first read the movies folders into the database, but I don't know how to do this. Thanks

I can convert my library to isos if necessary, but I would rather not is not necessarry.
Thanks

Double click is the answer

In the configuration utility, under movies, I clicked once, it show you where to type the path for
the movies, but not how to scan the movies into the database. I didn't know that you could
double click the Movies tab and bring up other options, including the scan option that I needed.
