How to play video with single click ? (1 Viewer)

Hi. I am new to MediaPortal v1, and this forum, so apologies if this has been asked/answered elsewhere, but i couldnt find anything using search.

I have my '.avi' movie files stored in individual movie folders named the same as the movies.

For example:

\Movies\Casino Royale\Casino Royale.avi
\Movies\300\300.avi

Each movie folder also contains 1 other file called 'folder.jpg' which is the dvd cover art image.

The cover art displays fine using the Filmstrip view, but to play the movie using my MCE Remote Control i have to first select the required dvd cover, then click OK or Play which then opens the selected movie folder, and then i have to select the movie file and click OK or Play to actually start the movie playback.

So, my question is - is there a way to get the movie to start playback immediately when i click OK or Play on just the required movie folder (ie. just one click to play) without the waste of opening the folder ??

This does only work for ISO and VOB files.

You could map all movies and use MyVideos' database-view

No, I dont have have any other mod right now, just thinking of adding support for stacked files in separate folder in the future, like:
\movie\cd1\movie.cd1.avi
\movie\cd2\movie.cd2.avi
both regarding imdb scan and OneClick feature, so we'll se...

Yes. Install the superior MovingPictures plugin. There is an advanced settings option that toggles the "click" / select behavior.

Yes, i agree.
Moving Pictures is the best plugin for pure 'official' movies. Of course I use it myself a lot.

But if one also has a lot of other stuff and therefore also use MyVideos preferebly in shares view sometimes both for movies and other videos and clips an so on, this mod gives you at least a little better experience than the original MyVideos. I like the idea to have the best of both worlds
