How to record a full program which has already started but timeshifting? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering,

If I'm watching a program which is timeshifting and I decide after the program has already started that I would like to record it, how do I record the program from the beginning?

I thought if I rewind the current program back to where it started and then hit record that it would record from that point, but it didnt. It recorded from where it was up to playing live

Also it was a manual record as the tv guide program was incorrect as the network changed programming at last minute so If I had chosen record current program it would have recorded wrong time but Im pretty sure I have also tried to record something which is already started and chose current program but it still records from live point not and doesnt include whats in the time shift buffer

Currently this is not impl.
I reckon at some point it will.

Damm.. I thought that was a standard feature of most pvrs with timeshifting to be able to keep the buffer as a recording..

can this be done through a plugin??

Not possible to do that on a plugin level. It must be done on pretty low level (most likely in TsWriter.ax itself).

Just to be clear:
If it is a program found in EPG which is in timeshift, then the recording will include the previous timeshift that is available even if you hit record after the program start.
