How to record in 16:9 format (1 Viewer)

    I think I know what you mean by now. Is it that your station broadcasts 16:9 material as letterboxed 4:3 stream, which when played on your 16:9 monitor of course is too small?

    If that is the case, then there are two options, one is to "zoom" the image (which is an option in MP, not sure about your other players) so that the image gets streched horizontally and the black bars at the top and bottom will dissapear.

    The other option is to re-encode your recording while cropping the black bars. This is the only way to get a "native" 16:9 stream out of a letterboxed recording. It is a lenghty and lossy process. If you would like to go this route, please refer to one of the many forum topics on the subject.
