Hi..

Been battling with my UK EPG... i had it working great before i re-formatted my PC... now i have a UK guide butt he programs are out of sync or plain wrong... i dunno what i've done exactly... but it is very confusing on setup... do i go for WebEPG? do i enable the plugin or dont i? or go for the xmltv exe?... either way i seem to be downloading my guide using xmltv...tv.grab.uk.bleb... takes a long time to download, but im sure my settings have been guffed... im downloading now but i doubt i'll get the right programs...all very weird

anyways how to start again? AND...whats the best way to use EPG? or to set this up... MP is amazing by the way... i have a Pinnacle 310i hybrid card and the soft that comes with it is nasty.... MP saved me from chucking out my card entirely i thought it was so rubbish...

anyways some advice would be greatly received, thankyou

Be patient, my friend ;) Because you don't post your specs or the support template or anything, it's not possible to give acurate instructions.

Anyway I use WebEPG for analog channels and grab EPG from DVB-T for DVB-T ones. I've found this is the best configuration for me. If you have a reliable source of EPG for WebEPG, use it. Run WebEPG-conf import your channels and select the correct grabber for them. I let PVR-Scheduler run Webepg every day. But if you don't use PVR-Scheduler, you can use the Windows scheduler to run it every day, or have the configuration of Media Portal set it up for you.

It's possible to completely delete the current EPG data from the configuration of MP. There is a button that will discard all EPG.

Spend some time around the forums, use the search feature and you'll find answers.

in mediaportal setup there is a big button to "remove all programs from the TV guide database" in tellivision --> program guide. you might also want to delete your tvguide.xml file
