Hi,

while starting MediaPortal I set my HTPC to hibernate mode. This destroyed the file: C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Gentle.config!

So if I start MP and click on TV, TV is not starting. In the log files it says, that the Gentle.config could not load, because no XML root node was found. The Gentle.config is 6 KB big, but only filled with whitespaces. So I deleted the file, because I thought MP would then use default settings, but it still not working because it still need this file!

If I run MP Configuration, all my settings are there, if I then close the Dialog, I got an error message, that the Gentle.config could not be found.

How can I restore the Gentle.config, without reinstalling MP and loosing all my settings? Which settings are stored in this file? Can I use the default Gentle.config which will be installed with MP? Can someone send me this file?

Regards,
Sascha

You could extract the package-tvengine.exe from the Installer with zip (look in the Deploy folder) and run that to re-install the TV Server (Client) files.
Which settings are stored in this file?
The connection settings with the TvService
Can I use the default Gentle.config which will be installed with MP?
    yes
Can someone send me this file?

Put the file in place, start MP Config and set up the hostname for your TV Server and close Config.
