How to stop a recording in progress? (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I wish to stop a recording in progress. Using the scheduled recordings menu I can:
- Delete
- Play recording from beginning
- Play recording from live point
- Settings

But I just want to stop the recording not delete it - How can I do this?

can't you just stop the recording by going into the main menu of the tv and then click on stop recording or whatever its called or simply press the rec button on the remote to stop it

Your right thanks very much - as I was always jumping to the "Recorded TV" section using the Remote button to try and manage all things recording wise, and then also visited "scheduled recordings" to try and find the stop record button I missed the recording choice on the main menu.

For some reason pressing the record button a second time does not offer to stop the recording - instead offering to record the current program or until manual stop a second time. Perhaps my dual tuner card confused the stop record logic. Also using the TV Guide and selecting any scheduled to record program and pressing the record button to cancel also does the same unexpected thing.

when you delete the schedule, it won't delete the recording but only stop it.
imho there should be a way to stop a recording in the recordings menu too.
