How to use local jpg as Cover (1 Viewer)

Hi,

i had a sports series(and 1 mixtapes) for which TV Series didnt find a cover. I've searched one with google but now i dont now how can i use ist. I put it in the same folder where the movie files are and named it folder.jpg like it work in mopvieng pictures but it didnt work. Or do i have to import this series again?

The easiest way (and also helpful for the rest of us), is to register yourself at Online TV Database - An open directory of television shows for HTPC software and locate your serie (or create it if it's not there) and upload the cover.

I've uploaded over 50 images myself and no longer have to suffer any missing backdrop, cover or banner on some of the rare shows I got/watch.

The resolutions required are as follows:

Actors = 300x450
Banners = 758x140
Posters = 680x1000
Fan Art = 1280x720 or 1920x1080

But if you happen to only have a cover image of 600x800 on a show that lacks any information right now, then just upscale it. You should only do this on old TV shows that lack the image you have (better something then nothing), otherwise it is highly frowned upon.

If the images you want to use are really small, then it is best to keep them for yourself. You should place them inside:

[MediaPortal Data Folder]\thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners

Then you go inside the MP-TVSeries plugin configuration and edit the show (or season/episode if this relates to season covers or episode screenshots), to point to the right image. Look at a working show otherwise to see how it is done.

The "[MediaPortal Data Folder]\thumbs\Fan Art" folder can be used for backdrops.

That doesnt work for me. I created under thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners a folder with the exact name of my series.Under that a folder -langen-posters. In that folder i put the jpg called parsen id-1 like in the other series too. Then i wrote that path posters/parsen id-1 in the field behind poster in the detail view of my series. But i still got no cover :-( Isnt there an easier way to get my local cover into tv series?
