    Hi all!

simple question: how can i set up the TV Database Server on a local host?
I tried 127.0.0.1 and localhost as hostname, but the setup still denies with "Please specify a valid hostname".

Hope someone could help me with that!

    Thanks in advance

I've used another workaround, i entered the name of my host which is use in MP in the hosts file of windows and mapped it to "localhost", this works also.

But my question was, why it's not allowed to simply use "localhost" in the configuration?

MSSQL is designed to be a server, hence it will not let you put the reserved windows localhost in as a name, MP as a client does not have this problem, so can use localhost\127.0.0.1
