I want to use my PC monitor as a TV to view Xbox. I have an old Ads Video Xpress but it doesn't have drivers for Vista. I was wondering if this program allows me to just view a live feed of my Xbox so I can play it on the computer? I have a built in TV Tuner with Svideo and Composite connections, don't see why it's not possible. So far Windows Media Center and this thing want me to set up a TV, scanning for channels and looking for remote inputs. I don't want all that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I found out how to do it in Virtual Dub. I didn't VD let you do it. Would still like to know if I can do it in MP:D

AW: How to VIEW Xbox on MP?

just to get it right, you want to connect your xbox to the video in of your pc and play xbox on your pc ?
If thats the case you should think about the input lag and the time your pc needs to process the signal - in my opinion this is not an option for gaming - at least on the video ins i have seen in the past.

Yes that's what I want to do. I know there may be some lag, but I need to play on the PC. In my passed experiences, the audio usually lags about 1 sec, the video is fine though. I would still like to know how to connect with MP

Yes, you can do it with MediaPortal. You just need to configure the Tvserver component to look at the AV input of the tuner card.

It's been a while since I've tried and don't have access to a MP installation to help further at the moment, but the same principle applies to adding payTV so take a look in the TV Card section (TV-Cards - MediaPortal Forum) and post your query there if needed.

Oh, and JoeSmith is right about the delay - I doubt it's feasible for gaming...
