I am not sure if this has been posted before.

I have got a DVICO Dual Digital Card installed. MP is working fine.

Recording and Viewing TV Channels.

I want to record my old cassettes and convert them into DVD.

My card has an input for the s-video / composite.

I want to know how can i record using them.

Thanks

have you the analogue oart of the card up and running or do you use only the digital part?

since the SVHS is an analogue input the installation of a decoder like winDVR or something like that is mandatory.

if not already done, add your analogue part through configuration --> television --> capture cards.

then go to TV channels in configuration --> television and click on add CVBS/SVHS

    no luck.

When i try to add another card it says there are no cards available.

I have installed the trial version of WINPVR downloaded from the internet.

Please let me know what can be done.

The software provided by the dvico works.

for things like once off copying of tapes I usually just use the application that came with my cards. It's a lot easier than configuring the analog portion of MP and if it's only for a day or two then haveing all the extra functions in MP isn't really neccessary.

I love MP for all other functions, but horses for courses...

(now that phrase probably loses something in translation for non aussies)

    Found the problem.

The reason why i am not getting it to work is cause its not supported for DVICO Digital Dual card.

No offence but if you dont do it, chances are it wont get done. Its not that hard to do honestly. MP requires to users to submit the required info for support to be added.
