HP MCE Remote IR Receiver Install Troubles (2 Viewers)

Has anyone got the remote working on MediaPortal without installing MCE?

My reason for choosing MediaPortal is that I prefer to use my money on peripherals rather than MCE.

Hi all, I just get my remote to work but I also get the same repeating problem when pressing a channel button .

Have some of you found a solution ??

just found this thread. And I have the same problem. Is there a solution for that? I bought this remote and it drives me crazy.

I have HP MCE Receiver/Blaster. When pluging the blaster into the USB port with Win XP Pro SP3, windows automatically installs the eHome USB Receiver driver. Then I just enable MCE remote in Mediaportal Configuration and it works straight away.

That is same remote / receiver i have.

That's weird. When I plugged it in first, windows didn't recognise it. The device manager says that it is a bb+ dongle. When I then install manually the ehome receiver driver I get this strange repeating problem as the other guys described above. Perhaps there are different types of this remote?

try lmremote, if still double keypresses then tick exclusive mode in lmremote setup, if that doesn't work untick exclusive mode, and delete all the mappings in lmremote default profile, if that doesn't work re-enable exlusive mode with all mappings removed.
