I don't use FFDShow for MPEG2. I use WinDVD9 decoder instead. And when I activate hardware acceleration in it, everything is working fine. By now I use FFDshow for XviD and other MPEG4 SD codecs, Apple QuickTime for MOV, RealAlternative for real codecs, CoreAVC for H264/X264, WinDVD decoder for Blu-Ray. Hardware aceleration is used whenever it's possible and works OK except some 1080p BD-Rips(so I disabled it for H264/X264)
