htpc into standy wakes up (1 Viewer)

I can provide more information atm since I am watching Sweden - Spain. I tried to search for it.

My problem is that when I choose to put the htpc into standy (power button on remote) it wakes up everytime.
I do not know if it is related to a configuration issue.
I dont know if it is related to Media portal or TV-Server. I would guess the TV-Server or could it be a hardware issue?

Coming in and out of Standby mode can be tricky. I am not sure what is your problem, but many users of MP (or MCE) have had problems with that "fonction" in the past. If you are using XP, you have 2 options: 1) I beleive there is an option within MP Configuration to fine tune the standby mode. 2) Slick Solutions - Home of the MCE Standby Tool (MST)

You should check the Windows Device Manager if some input devices (especially the keyboard and HIDs) are allowed to resume the PC and try to disable this behaviour as long as it is not wanted. By my self I had this problem with my Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000.

Go into your control panel.

Double click on mouse

Click Hardware

Select the mouse then properties. Click Power Settings.

De select the "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby"

Repeat this for your keyboard as well

I do still have problems.
I got the standby working when media portal is closed and tvserver is on.
This should mean that the problem is related to media portal.

In MP config\plugins have you got the powerscheduler client plugin enabled, mines set to only work in home screen.

Got it working now with the power scheduler enabled

Nope it did start up again

In Bios turn off Wake from Keybaord and wake from mouse. that helped with my Vista MCE setup.

If you download the MCE Standby Tool, and run it as standalone, one of it sections "which devices are enabled to resume standby" will allow you to easily change keyboard\mice settings, as anybody ever seen how many HID\Keyboard devices may be showing in device manager, can be lots and going through them one by one is time consuming, especially if you miss the one you want.
