Hi all!
I have just tested my new HTPC running MP on Vista x64 with following components:
ASUS M2A-VM/HDMI (AMD 690G)
Athlon X2 BE-2350 (2x 2100 MHz) (with boxed fan)
ASUS DVD DRW-1814BL (18 / 8 / 8 fach)
Samsung Spin point HD250HJ (250 GB)
Buffalo DIMM 1 GB DDR2-800 (1024 MB)
TechnoTrend budget C-1500 HD
now I have two problems:
1.
First one has something to do with the codecs I guess..... Installation of MP was no problem. Also found all TV channels. Problem is that the picture and the sound comes chopped doesn't matter which codec I use. Further, there is a delay between picture and sound.
Both problems do not occur if I use the TechnoTrend software (not the Vista TV, the simple one)
2.
Second problem is a bit more serious. I was just watching news in MP (even the pciture was a bit choppy) when the computer switched of (without saying goodbye -> very bad manners ). Problem is, that the system does not boot anymore at all. I can not even enter the bios. Only the Asus grafic appears and then the system hangs up. What could that be??? Hardware failure??? How to solve or how two figure which part???
I would be very thankful for your help!
Regards,
Matthias
PS: If I knew that there are so many problems with Vista x64, I would have used my old XP Pro. Maybe I will do so anyhow...
