Where did you get those components?
specifically the heatpipes and the copper plates...

Hello mate,

Everything is custom made.

The copper blocks have been specifically made/machined to my specs (local engineering firm)

The heatpipes have also been produced to my specs (length, diameter and bends) - If you want the details of the manufacturer let me know.

Fantastic project, well done. Did you consider using rack mount enclosures instead? Not sure how it would have compared to your enclosure cost-wise, but they would have been plenty big enough. Either way though the results are so much more pleasing when youve designed the whole thing from scratch.

btw, how long til some updates?

Hi there,

Unfortunately life comes first...so I havent had much time on this recently

I have done a little work...drilled holes for the feet, moved the IR bracket over, made a few more cables...nothing major.

I have above three more cables to make:

Reset switch/power light cable
HDD light cable
USB cable for Blurray drive

I have also been trying to get the remaining metalwork drawn up...front panel, back clip, bluray drive clip.

One that is done, I have to wait for it to be machined.

Then test fit everything.. then off to be anodised/finished.

Then final build......power on......cry (as it over heats)
