I'm not the best in interpreting logs but it seems that your database login is wrong.
Can you try to log into the SQL server without MP or to verify your login details?

I have the exact same problem. Things run for a while then i start getting unable to connect to database errors.

I checked the back end sqlexpress instance and set the database from autoclose on to off so the DB is always available. from management studio I'm able to log in using sql auth and the SA account MediaPortal as the passsword.

It is connecting atleast once the on screen guide has data in it just not alot usually about 4 hours then its all "no info available" I checked the tables in the database and the info is in there.

So, it looks like when you launch My TV it does an initial grab but then fails after that and hangs media portal.
