kinda new to media portal but have played around with it a little bit and am more than convinced that it will fulfill my needs.
I am looking at getting a setup using a tv-place shifter and media portal over the network, using the tv-place shifter to transmit the video via network (Cable or wireless) to my pc in which i will use Mediaportal to view & record from my STB.
i have looked at the following devices so far:- Slingbox [Costly] (Slingbox), Hava Wireless HD (HAVA Wireless HD Product Details; Wireless Video Streamer, Place-shifter & Time-Shifter) & Sony's Location Free ( Sony Location Free)
If possible i would like to be able to get hold of a device which has multiple device inputs and a built in IR Blaster which is compatiable with media portal.
(slingbox and hava appear to have mediaportal support)
I am wondering what experiences other people have had with similar setups and devices and any advice on what i should be looking for.
Any help and ideas are appreciated
