Once working, it will still use Deamon, but you won't see it.

Really? Because I configured Daemon to use it, but it pops open the "mount image" dialogue first .. so it DOES play in MP natively then? ..

Thanks again.
Well, natively...natively.. MP will be the sole frontend. Deamon tools does the hard work, but you will, once working, only look at the nice&shiny MP screen.
Have you allready checked this part of the link I provided?
Automount image files using Deamon tools
Tells MediaPortal to use Daemon tools for mounting image files (cue/bin, iso, ccd, bwt, mds, cdi, nrg, pdi, b5t).1)
Daemon tools
Path to your Daemon tools EXE.
Virtual drive
Drive letter where the mounted image files are going to appear as a drive.
Drive No
Daemon tools supports up to 4 Drives. Enter the number of the Daemon tool drive you want to use (0 to 3). Keep in mind that the first drive is drive number 0.
Note: these settings should be the same as setup in daemon tools!!
If still not working, please let us know.

I cant find the info on how to get deamon tools to integrate with MP so when you open an .iso. file it will auto mount to deamon and play in MP, anyone know where I can find this info?

I think the VCDGear is a far better solution.
I converted a Bin/Cue in about 5 minutes, and its playing now as i type...no probs.

Will VCDGear convert a Bin/Cue with menu and all? or is it just the movie?
And is there any qualityloss? I want full DVD features and quality...

The RC2 broke using Deamon -- there is a Nightly Build (see below) that fixed it, so if you want Deamon to work you have to roll back to 0.2.3.0 RC1 or load a SVN.
