iMON VFD/LCD MiniDisplay driver for MediaPortal 1.1.3/1.2.1 (2 Viewers)

Hi all,

I got the same case and VFD as eiderdautz, a Silverstone LC20B with iMon VFD. It looks like he, with some advice from it3689, got it work by coping the binaries zip file......

....can somebody tell me where I can find this file?
I'm guessing the information is somewhere in this post but I must admit I didn't really want to trawl through around 30 pages in case I still didn't find it!

Also a bit off topic but I've been having trouble with my MCE remote, I finally got it work by using IRSS but now when I reboot my machine IRSS turns off the iMon software and the display.... can anybody offer any help or will I not need the iMon software to drive the display once I do this file copy/transfer?

hi

i am experiencing issues with the volume, since I have installed this minidisplay driver!

before installation, i could adjust system volume with remote
after, i am not able to adjust the volume at all - either on my remote or keyboard.
the case volume knob alters the number of bars shown in the vfd but does not make a difference to the volume

my setup:
windows 7
media portal 1.4 pre release
latest soundgraph drivers 8.12.1202
antec fusion black vfd display
emprex wifi remote (using eventghost and eventghostplus plugin)

log files attached. Any suggestion on how to progress this. The mini display works great but without volume control a bit of a loss !

Without trying out, just suggesting, MiniDisplay should not work anymore with MP 1.4 Final?

What do I have to do to make it compatible. It's a plugin I cannot miss.

I installed MP 1.4 Final yesterday and just copied the binaries again... and VOLA it worked!
(this since it's not a plugin, just *.dll's)

Would been the best, so we don't have to copy the binaries all the time... if this is doable?

So I upgraded my HTPC with MP 1.4 Final, and the iMon VFD is still working. But I did not replace anything. I used to use the old Turorial from here under MP 1.2.3 last year (the one with iMon Manager <=iMon Manager 7.77 used).

Are there any advantages in using this newer method?
