While I'm glad to see the community is helping out with translating Series/episodes and all, please, do NOT! create a second series and append (country) to it.

If the same show exists in english, that same show must be used, and proper translations be added under their respective language. If a show does not exist, and is of english/american origin, it must also first be created in english and then translation added to it.

The only exception are series whose country of origin, or shall I say, original language is not english. So any french/german/italian produced series can be entered as you would expect, but again, don't append the country to the series name. Also take care to add the descriptions under teh correct language.

    Correct:
http://tvdb.zsori.com/?tab=series&id=73507&lid=17 (Les 4400 with original name The 4400)
    Wrong:
    http://tvdb.zsori.com/?tab=series&id=79801&lid=7 (Les 4400 (France))

In the near future you will be able to specify your favourite language and the plugin will automatically get the descriptions (if available) in that language for you. Show with (Country) appended will be deleted.

And please keep up the good work with translations :)

Hey Inker just a bit more info here as we try to finish building the multi-language interfaces.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please check if an English translation of the program exists even if the original language was not English and enter that base (Series/ Episode Names) information as well do not enter non-English information in the English Field unless there is absolutely no English equivalent and even then only series and episode titles should be entered in the English fields. If you enter other language data into the English fields the plugins and interfaces will not be able to determine the shows language when the multi-language interfaces go live.

As An example here is a French program
which had been entered also in English and German.German. Now even though this is a France originating series, the French records should only be in the French fields. All fields which are common to every language should represent the original airing language no matter what language you personally use. So the airdate and network on the example is the French one not the German or English.

We are also working to make it so that you can set you default preferred language and the web interface will default to that for you.
