Hi!

I have little problems with the Importer! Some .mkv´s are not correct imported! Title is listed fine in the "browse Media" Menu, but not the *.mkv itself!
Error Message "Es wurde versucht, den Dateizeiger vor den Anfang der Datei zu bewegen." - my!!! english translate - "An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file."

Best regards from Austria

    Please post more details:
    • which build do you use (Alpha or Easter release)
    • What do you mean with "title is listed under Browse Media, but not the .mkv itself?": we usually do not show the file extension of the video, so if you see only the title of your movie, this is ok.
    • do you have added metadata tags to your files?

    I´m using the Easter release!
All my Bluray´s folders under Browse Media are shown correct! You can see it in my "titles correct" Screenshot!
But when i click to a folder where i got the Error message in the Server.log, the film is not listed! Screenshot "8 Mile failed"
All other films without the error message are fine! Screenshot "Basic correct"!

    Regards

Ok, I see. I need to find out what exactly fails.

First, please try to run following commands, replace the path sample with the one from your failing .mkv:
    Code:
    mkvinfo.exe --ui-language en --output-charset UTF-8 "c:\path\yourfile.mkv" >info.txt
    mkvextract.exe tags "c:\path\yourfile.mkv" >tags.xml

run this from MP2-Client\Plugins\VideoMetadataExtractor folder and attach the resulting files and / or error messages. if both work correctly it could also the MediaInfoLib that fails.

Please try this build, place the dll under "Plugins\VideoMetadataExtractor\" and try again. the error will still be there, but I expect more details in the error message. please post log after trying!
