I have been using DVD profiler as my matster catalogue for DVD for years and historically when using Windows Media Center had been exporting the DVD catalogue to their "MyMovies" plugin. For it to be aware of the location of the various movies on my server I had to populate the "notes" field in DVD profiler with the location of each movie/tv series. This required an "export" from DVD Profiler and "import" from My Movies for each change in my movie collection. When I transitioned to MediPortal I started using the "My Films" plugin due to it's ability to import DVD profiler catalog information in much the same way MyMovies had done for me with media centre. However it still requires an export from DVD Profiler for each change in my movie collection. (but no import, yay) Using the DVD profiler export in the "My Films" plugin is relatively simple. 1) Export a catalog from DVD profiler to say c:\collection.xml, 2) Configure the "My films plugin to use DVD profiler in the "Catalog Type" drop down on it's first screen of the plugin cofiguration. 3) Define the location of the DVD profiler export in the "Catalog File(XML)" field 4) Define the location of your DVD profiler images directory in the "Picture PAtch (IMG) field. If your file naming of the movies matches the DVD profiler movie names: 5) Populate the "Movies for file search" path. If they don't or they are spread across multiple volumes/servers you have the popluate the notes field of each move in DVD profiler with the movie location and 5) Check the :Notes field comtains movie name on the DVD profiler tab page on the "My Films" plugin config. All my movies have been copied from DVD to a VIDEO_TS file structure but I notice your are ISO file but the principles are the same. eg/ if my file location for a movie is \\server1\dvd_b\butterfly effect\video_ts\video_ts.ifo then my notes field is \\server1\dvd_b\butterfly effect. Or if the movie name is "butterfly effect" and the movie location is \\server1\dvd_b\butterfly effect, then just make sure your search path is \\server1 with "include sub folders" checked. All that said, this made sense for me as I already had populated the notes field of DVD profiler with my movie locations. I have now changed over to using "Moving Pictures" due to it having automated fanart and better UI responsiveness, (love that async fade in). I kind of miss the depth and accuracy of the DVDprofiler metadata over what the Moving pictures scrapers give but you can't have everything.
